</p><p>Venus which is often called Earth’s twin is one of the terrestrial planets that are four in number. The Venus is rocky and similar to the earth in mass and size. The diameter is less than that of Earth by 650 km, its mass being eighty one per cent to that of the earth. It has a dense atmosphere filled with carbon dioxide and the surface of the Venus is different from the earth’s surface. </p><p> The Venus takes 224.7 days of the earth to orbit round the Sun. Apart from the moon, the Venus is a bright object in the sky. In comparison to the Earth it is an inferior planet. On the earth, Venus is referred to as the Evening Star or the Morning Star because it achieves the maximum amount of brightness during sunrise or after sunset.</p><p> Venus is often referred to earth’s sister because if the proximity in composition, gravity and size. Venus has a very dense atmosphere and is made up of carbon dioxide mainly and no organic life on it. It has gradually become very hot so that the oceans it had similar to than on earth had evaporated which leaves it looking like a dry desert with rocks on its surface. It is found that the rocks on the surface of Venus are half of a billion years in age.</p><p>
