</p><p>Turks and Caicos Islands in West Indies consist of two tropical islands. The territory belongs to the British Empire. The group of islands is situated on the southeast direction of Bahamas and north direction of Hispaniola. The group is formed from eight major islands and 20 small islands. The weather here is mostly dry. The island comprise of 370 km of beach area. The two major islands of Turks and Caicos are separated by the passage of Turks.</p><p> The total population on the islands is about 32000. Majority of the population is descendant of protestant and black Christians. Two fifth of the remaining population belongs to Baptist, one fifth of Anglican, one fifth of Methodist and 2% of seventh day Adventist. </p><p> Tourism, offshore financial services and fishing play a principal role in the economy of the Turks and Caicos Islands. Majority of the food and essential goods are imported from nearby countries. The tourism sector is the largest in the economy as around 87, 000 visitors visit the island throughout the year. High end resorts and ports for cruise ships are offering some good deals in the tourism sector. Along with the financial activities, agricultural field also plays a small role in the economy. The agriculture is still limited to the production of maize, Cassava, beans and citrus fruits.</p><p>
