</p><p>Romania is a country in Southeastern Europe. It shares border with Hungary and Serbia to the west, Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova to the northeast and Bulgaria to the south. Romania has a stretch of sea coast along the Black Sea. Romania is the largest country in southeaster Europe and the twelfth-largest in Europe. The terrain is distributed roughly equally between mountainous, hilly, and lowland territories. The highest mountain is Moldoveanu Peak which is 2544 meter.</p><p> The culture of Romania is rich and varied. It is fundamentally defined as the meeting point of 3 regions: Central Europe, Eastern Europe, and the Balkans. Modern Romanian culture emerged and developed over roughly in the last 250 years under a strong influence from the Western culture. The Western culture is mainly French and German culture. Romania is a secular state thus having no national religion. Bucharest is the capital and the largest city in Romania.</p><p> Romania is a parliamentary unitary state. With a GDP per capita of 10661 dollars estimated for 2007, Romania is considered an upper middle income economy. It has been a part of the European Union since 1 January 2007. Main exports of Romania are clothing and textiles, electrical and electronic equipments, metallurgic products, industrial machinery, raw materials, cars, military equipment, software, fine chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and agricultural products.</p><p>
