</p><p>Moldova or the Republic of Moldova is a located in Eastern Europe. It is a landlocked country surrounded by Romania and Ukraine. It declared itself as an independent country in 1991. The President is the head of state and the prime minister is the head of the government in Moldova. Moldova is a member of UN, WTO, CIS, GUAM and many other international organizations. Moldovan or Romanian is the official language of the country. </p><p> Moldova has its own rich and developed culture which has slight influences from the neighboring countries. Most of the people of Moldova are Eastern Orthodox Christians. The most notable personality of Moldova was Prince Dimitrie Cantemir. He wrote the first ethnographical, geographical and economic description of his country. The best and the most influential poet of the Romanian language of the country was Mihai Eminescu.</p><p> The economy of Moldova is dependent on agriculture. The country has a favorable climate and good terrains as farmlands. Fruits, vegetables, tobacco, and Moldovan wine are the chief products of Moldovan agriculture. The government has agreements with the World Bank and IMF to promote the growth of the country. Petroleum, natural gas and coal are imported from Russia. Many institutional and structural reforms have been made here for the proficient functioning of the market.</p><p>
