</p><p>Namibia or the Republic of Namibia is located in the southern part of the African continent. It lies on the Atlantic coast and shares borders with Angola, Zambia, Botswana, and South Africa. Namibia is a relatively new country which came into existence only in 1990 after it gained independence from South Africa. </p><p> Namibia is the world’s 34th largest country with a territorial area of 318,396 square miles. It is also the world’s least densely populated country in the world. Majority of the Namibian population is black and is concentrated in the northern part of the country. Nearly fifty percent of the country speaks Oshiwambo as their primary language. However the most widely understood language is Afrikaans. English is language that is most popular amongst youngsters. English is also the official language of the nation. Christianity is the major religion in the country and the Lutheran Church is the largest followed church followed by the Roman Catholic. </p><p> The Namibian terrain consists of mainly five geographical classifications. Each of these areas have characteristic features such as vegetation, abiotic conditions etc. </p><p> Namibia is an under developed country which is gradually trying to rise. Its economy mainly consists of mining and manufacturing. The country has around 30 to 40 percent unemployment. Namibia is the fourth largest exporter of non fuel minerals in Africa and the world’s fifth largest producer of Uranium. The country is also very rich in many other mineral resources. Even tough the GDP of the nation is quite high Namibia has one of the highest rates of income inequality.</p><p>
